Hi, We are still working hard on our next full-lenght album (hopefully out early 2017 - we take our time but we hope it will worth the wait), but in the meantime we will come up very soon with a little surprise : Repump the pectine ! Our first demo/EP, Pump up the pectine, was released in 2005 and for his 11th birthday (11 is much cooler than 10, specially for the gain output on a guitar amplifier), we wanted to celebrate those very old demo tracks with upgraded and reworked versions. It will be a digital release, a very few amount of physical CD's will be out for the true guys :) Watch our cheap trailer on our YT channel if you like cats, and stay tuned ! (also we're now on twitter : https://twitter.com/pryapisme ) ...
Pryapisme has been at somewhat of a standstill for a while. After a few gigs last autumn (thanks again to all those who showed up), we were supposed to work on new compositions but sometimes life is a turd sandwich and as a result we are now way behind in our work. The cattery where we rehearse has undergone some sort of divine punishment and 2015 has been a rotten year for some of our elderly feline friends. Case in point: La Belette, who sung/meowed on Hyperblast Supercollider, has passed away, so has her mother TL. Bambou, who was the diabolical star of Futurologie, has also passed away and so has his fiancée Ptérodactyle. She wasn’t a singer but her silky-soft fur could have provided us with high-end briefs to wear on stage. She’s now sailing to other shores but she probably still steals steak from the neighbours, wherever she is. Last but not least, Styx a.k.a. Plimptphlymst, after whom we named our home studio, has left us after 19 years of loyal service, cuddles, hogging keyboards and pressing space bars. Over the years, he had become more proficient than Lars Ulrich’s Pro Tools engineer. It’s safe to say that he contributed to our music writing process in his own special way. He will even sing on the next album. Indeed, we will now more than ever get back to work and finish this 3rd LP! We’re finished with the writing and are now busy recording. The release date hasn’t been set yet because the whole process is time-consuming but who knows, we may very well come up with a little musical surprise to reward your patience in the months to come
The end of 2015 wasn’t very productive but now we’re all psyched up. Persian hairballs will rain down upon you! Litter that smells like ammonia will overflow. It will be so foul that it’ll make Al Capone’s Chicago look like a Sunday afternoon dance at a Nickelodeon-sponsored tearoom. In short, in 2016 we bare our claws!
Until then, we wish you a feline year and offer our best kibbles.
